Sunyani Technical University (STU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NAYT Consult Ltd to introduce German language studies as part of the University's efforts to expand its academic programmes and strengthen international engagement.
The agreement was signed on Monday, July 6, 2026, following a Special Management Meeting held at the University. The ceremony was attended by the Vice-Chancellor, Ing. Prof. Kwadwo Adinkrah-Appiah, the Acting Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Evans Zoya Kpamma, members of University Management, representatives of the Department of Languages, and officials of NATY Consult Ltd led by its General Manager, Mr. Agyenna Kesse-Tachi.
The partnership is expected to broaden STU's language education by introducing German alongside the University's existing English and French language programmes, thereby providing students with additional opportunities to acquire globally relevant language skills.
Speaking during the meeting, Management reaffirmed the University's commitment to strengthening multilingual education and promoting internationalisation through strategic partnerships that enhance teaching, learning, research, and student development.
The introduction of German language studies is expected to create new opportunities for students in academic exchange, international education, employment, and cultural engagement, particularly with German-speaking countries.
The MoU also outlines areas of collaboration between the two institutions, including programme implementation, capacity building, and the promotion of German language education at Sunyani Technical University.
The signing of the agreement marks another milestone in STU's drive to position itself as a globally competitive technical university, committed to producing graduates with the knowledge, skills, and international outlook needed to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
