Amatrol Engineering Equipment Sign-Off
For the past five weeks, a team of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers from Sunyani Technical University and Amatrol has been working on a new ultramodern laboratory installation and training. The move is in line with the core mandate of the University to train highly qualified engineers for the modern needs of the increasing demand of mechanization in the Ghanaian industry and agriculture sector.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Ing. Kwadwo Adinkrah-Appiah, in his brief comment to the staff of Mechanical and Electrical Departments staff said, such a move by the University, and many others, are in line with supporting mechanizing Agricultural production in the region and the nation as a whole; hence extensive care should be taken with regard to the upkeep of such equipment.
The team from Amtrol, lead by Mr. Alen J. White and assisted by Mr. Jonny Walker, also thanked management of Sunyani Technical University for all the support given. He said this made it possible for the entire installation and training to start and end smoothly according to schedule.
The installation is made up of two laboratories, a-40-seater computer multimedia lab and hands-on machinery simulation training laboratory. The multimedia laboratory has all the software to go with the machines, together with manuals for each single equipment. The diversity of the multimedia laboratory is such that, students can initiate their own self tuition, troubleshoot, fix error, design and quiz themselves with very minimal supervision of technicians or lecturers.
